A Rich History

Rich Ideas was born

Since we started this “thing of ours” back in the mid 90’s, we’ve focused most of our efforts on developing mutually beneficial partnerships with a select few clients in Richmond. Bob spent years in the radio business… first as an on air talent (we use the word “talent” rather loosely), and then as a promotions director, sales guy, sales manager and up the chain into general management. He learned the media, marketing and sales business inside and out, in Richmond and in all sorts of bigger markets like DC, Norfolk, Harrisburg, New York, etc. etc.

Mid 90's

Adam Joins The Team

Fast forward to 2006: Adam graduated college and decided (against his dad’s recommendations) to test the waters in media sales, particularly radio. After about 5 years as a A/E at Cox Radio Richmond, he convinced several of his accounts to take the proverbial “leap of faith” and join him at Rich Ideas. How he did so? We’re still not sure.

2006

Ed Joins the Team

In 2012, the third “Rich boy” joined us, and helped turn this agency into a full blown family affair.  After Ed graduated from VCU, he accepted a role as a digital, admin, client services guru… and has blossomed ever since. In particular, he loves when his older brother/boss (that’s right…BOSS) reminds him of the pecking order. The more things change… the more things stay the same.

2012

New Office

Rich Ideas moved up in the world, into a shiny new office!

2016

Bob takes a step back

Bob goes into semi-retirement after a long and successful career. He's still our idea man though!

2018

Ed Gets Married

Ed gets Married to his girlfriend of 8 years

2019

Jess joins the team

Jess Fenstermacher comes on board as an account management specialist after graduating from UVA

Feb 2020

Lindsay joins the team

Lindsay, a former media account manager who worked with our team, becomes the most recent addition to the Rich Ideas team.

Aug 2020

Ryan Joins The Team

Ryan joins the team after graduating from VCU!

May 2023

Noah Joins the team

Noah, an account manager, joins the Rich Ideas team after leaving the world of finance.

Oct 2023

Cailin Joins the Team

Cailin joins the Rich Ideas team as our new social media coordinator after graduating from Liberty!

Tatiana Joins the Team

We just keep growing! Tatiana Jennings, our newest account manager, joins the Rich Ideas team!
